    I hope all the Americans had a wonderful Thanksgiving and everyone is having a great weekend. Just a quick reminder post about the Episode 107 marathon happening tomorrow at 8pm CET (2pm US east coast/11am US west coast)! I hope to see all of you there, and if you can't be there "live" then stop by later!

    A quick programing note: I am going to be out of town next weekend (Sunday Dec 6). Is someone else willing to do the posting for the 108 marathon?

    more of a general discussion than anything.
    First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all of the American members! This topic came up during a car ride home with my roommate, so it seems a relevant good wish to make before proposing it haha

    SO ANYWAY. My roommate and I were talking, and we came to the conclusion that every sex scene that has ever been in QAF was used as some sort of plot device or has been important to a character arc. We tried to stump each other with this theory, but couldn't do it! So I need to bring it to the bigger table. They're all aesthetic, of course, haha, but: do you all agree with this unproven theory? Was there a point to every one? Or was this another thing Cowlip couldn't get consistent? Feel free to point out any that you can't see the bigger picture~ behind or whatever. This holiday weekend I'll need some good entertainment.

    (AND SPEAKING OF LONG WEEKENDS, if any of the members here are into the RP scene here on IJ, a small group of people and I are trying to put together a group storyline that would take place in real time and because I don't want to openly waste room advertising when it's just a side note here: the information on that is all here, if anyone is interested.)

    Mini Marathon 11/27/09 at 8pm EST - 101, 102, 512, 513
    I've decided I would like to watch the beginning and the end this friday night.

    So if anyone would like to join me I'll be watching episodes 101, 102, 512 and 513. I will start around 8pm EST. I hope one or two of you will drop by and join me. It's not going to be very structured or as detailed as I get when I do the full series marathon. Just me taking a look at where everybody is when we first meet them and comparing that to where they are at the end. And no doubt some squeeing.

    Just a random thought:
    In your opinion, what relationship represents the core of the show? When I say relationship, I don't (necessarily) mean a romantic one. Rather, I'm defining it as bond between two or more characters – be it romantic, platonic, or familial. This is less an "what's your OTP" question than "if you strip everything else away, what relationship remains?"

    I've heard a lot of different answers to this kind of discussion over the years, but I don't know that I've ever come up with a definitive answer on my own. For me, there are three main possibilities:

    WOO-HOO!
    LOOK AT MY NEW JOURNAL HEADER ARTWORK! JUST LOOK AT IT! IT WAS DONE BY THE INCOMPARABLE MASTEROFMERCURY AND IT IS THE MOST AWESOMEST THING EVER EVER EVER! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO USE IT AND TONIGHT I ASKED IF I COULD AND SHE SAID YES AND I AM HAPPY CONCEPT, HAPPY, HAPPY CONCEPT!

    It is so awesome, in fact, that when she gave me permission to use it I promptly flailed and knocked over my tequila--three times.

    I'm so happy it's not even funny. It's even better than seeing a house I liked. For serious. That says something about my priorities, but what the hell. It's so pretty it could even go with For a Reasonable Fee or Comes at a Cost.

    This is the happiest day EVAR.

    Just a quick reminder to all [info]daily_deviant members and watchers that the deadline for your Kinky Kristmas submissions is coming soon. You've got ten more days to turn things in. We've already gotten in some amazing pieces -- December is going to be fantastic!

    Completed pieces are due by Monday, November 30 and should be emailed to dd.mods@gmail.com. Fic must be a minimum of 1,000 words and art must be a completed piece. Both fic and art must merit at least an R rating. No crossovers permitted. Watchers: your pieces must fit into a single IJ post.
